There's just a real sense that you guys have genuine care and empathy towards us... to have someone come over to you and genuinely really care and support you through your journey is something that I'm so grateful for. There's a certain kind of heaviness, like a black cloud that's been following me for so long, that's shifted — it feels like it's no longer there.

I felt so safe. The women who led us and guided us and held space for us were incredible individuals… this will change your life forever. I came with no real expectations... and I feel like I'm leaving a completely different person.

This place can totally take care of your shaky heart. I was gently guided into feeling my deeper emotions, without being overwhelmed or retraumatized. That’s a really key difference. The peaceful environment the Inner Shift Institute provides totally allows for that inward reflection.

This experience is for you if:

  • You’ve been the strong one for everyone else and now you need a place where you get to be supported.
  • You know your patterns, but the shift hasn’t landed in your body.
  • You’re not here to patch things up — you want to find the root cause and finally address it.
  • You’re curious about mυshrooms or trυffles, whether it’s your first time or you’re ready to go deeper, with expert support.
  • You crave depth, not performance. Stillness, not strategy.
  • You’re ready to stop coping and meet whatever is underneath.
  • You want to be with others who get it — whether you feel too much, or nothing at all.

Explore challenging inner material while feeling fully supported by our experienced facilitators and mostly female team. We create the conditions for meaningful inner shifts, helping you move through difficult moments toward personal insight and clarity.

Since 2018, we’ve held mʋƨhroοm inner shift retreats, becoming a trusted name in this work. Today, as The Inner Shift Institute, we continue to lead with experience, skill, and heartfelt care for each person’s journey, offering pꞨılocყb𝗂и-supported guidance.

We support individuals working through emotional patterns, self-worth challenges, overthinking, overwhelm, nervous system sensitivity, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and other inner obstacles that may affect feeling stable and fulfilled.

Our Retreat Guides

A serene portrait of a woman standing in nature, bathed in soft sunlight

Karlijn is a facilitator for expanded states of consciousness and a skilled guide based in the Netherlands. Her mission is to support individuals in reconnecting with the wisdom of their hearts, where clarity and answers often emerge.

After obtaining her Master’s Degree in 2011, Karlijn worked as an HR Consultant in the corporate world but felt disconnected from herself and her environment. Her personal experiences with plant work opened her awareness and led her into deeper inner exploration, learning from Indigenous teachers in South America as well as Western approaches.

Following a strong inner calling, Karlijn completed an intensive one-year training in transformation and shamanic practices. Since 2018, she has dedicated herself to guiding individuals through expanded experiences in carefully held, supportive settings, witnessing meaningful shifts in those she accompanies.

Karlijn’s biggest life lesson is transitioning from a state of survival to one of self-love, trust, and surrender to the unknown.

Outside of her work, Karlijn enjoys long hikes in nature and ecstatic dance. She resides in a forest, cherishing community life, fireside conversations, and heart-based living in connection with herself, others, and nature.

Caro is a mindset coach, energy practitioner, and facilitator of expanded states of consciousness, dedicated to supporting individuals in reconnecting with their inner essence, releasing limiting patterns, and creating a life aligned with purpose and meaning.

With a deep passion for personal growth and psychology, Caro explores both inner and outer dynamics to understand what may hold people back from following their dreams. She believes in the power of self-reflection and releasing emotional burdens to create greater peace, balance, and self-compassion.

Caro enjoys guiding individuals through the process of recognizing self-sabotaging patterns and connecting with their inner wisdom. Through shifts in perception, clients can rediscover their own answers and consciously shape a life that feels meaningful and authentic.

Having personally moved through challenges such as guilt, people-pleasing, and self-doubt, Caro brings deep empathy and understanding to her work. Her own experiences have led her from emotional struggle toward confidence and grounded self-trust, both in her personal life and in her role as a mother, guiding her children with warmth and creativity.

Outside of her work, Caro finds joy in ecstatic dance, time with her children, gardening, writing, meditation, yoga, and lifelong learning. She feels inspired by both supporting others and continuing her own path of growth.
